The 
K-8 EdTech, Science, and Design Coordinator is a creative and mission-aligned educator who will develop and enhance the scientific, technological, and innovative experience for students and teachers. The K-8 EdTech, Science, and Design Coordinator will help guide professional development, act as a thought partner to different constituents, spearhead curriculum design, and provide direct teacher support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with K-8 teachers to assist them and their students with lessons and projects that require technology integration or design thinking principles, utilizing traditional and new tools to promote student agency and responsible use; integrative technology and design curriculum includes, but is not limited to, scientific exploration, artistic expression, design, makery, digital citizenship, robotics, coding, media creation, and digital literacy
  • Collaborate with Middle School Design Teacher to integrate design projects and principles into the broader Middle School curriculum and academic experience
  • Collaborate with Lower School teachers and Middle School Science departments to help align, articulate, and further integrate the K-8 science into the larger academic program
  • Support teachers with aligning tech programs and applications to their curriculum and lesson goals and support them in evaluating the efficacy of those programs
  • Promote the safe, responsible, and ethical use of digital media and tools, including AI
  • Collaborate with Academic Admin and the Technology Systems Manager to establish educational technology norms and goals
  • Work with the Academic Admin to create and deliver faculty in-service training on the topic of technology and design integration into the curriculum
  • Work with the Academic Admin and Business Office for budgeting and ordering
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

  • A degree in education, science, technology, or related field
  • At least three years of experience in education. Early career or change of career candidates will also be considered
  • Strong knowledge of and deep passion for using technology as a tool for productivity, creativity, and collaboration
  • Experience with the latest educational technologies and continued professional development to keep abreast of new technology initiatives
  • Strong sense of ethical practices around the use of technology, including emerging AI and social media tools
  • Interest in coaching robotics
  • Language skills in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin, a plus
Compensation and Benefits Summary

K-8 EdTech, Science, and Design Coordinator is a year-round position beginning July 1, 2025. Competitive, exempt salary based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits are offered including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and matching 403(b).

$4,791.66 to $5,416.66 semi-monthly ($115,000 to $130,000 if annualized) based on relevant experience.
